About Course

This module explores how structured risk management and appropriate insurance help protect a dive centre, its customers, staff and assets.

 

Learners examine common sources of operational risk and follow the complete risk-management process—from hazard identification and assessment to implementing and reviewing effective controls.

 

The module introduces liability, negligence, informed consent, assumption of risk and liability releases.

 

It also covers documentation, insurance fundamentals, common policy types, coverage limits, exclusions and risks associated with contractors and other third parties.

 

Learners will develop practical approaches to incident and near-miss reporting, emergency response, crisis management, safety reviews, audits and performance monitoring.
