This module explores how structured inventory controls, inspection programmes and servicing procedures help a dive centre maintain safe, reliable and cost-effective equipment.

 

Learners examine the complete equipment lifecycle—from procurement, identification and registration to daily use, maintenance, depreciation and eventual replacement or disposal.

 

The module covers asset identification, master equipment registers, procurement, standardisation, receiving procedures and equipment issue-and-return systems.

 

It also addresses inspections and maintenance requirements for regulators, BCDs, cylinders, dive computers and oxygen equipment.

 

Learners will develop practical approaches to storage, damage and loss reporting, equipment audits, demand forecasting, budgeting and performance monitoring.
